There’s a ghost in my house and I love what’s left of him

He was living here when I moved in

Now we’re quote unquote living in sin

Yes I’m in love with a ghost

The ghost in my house was a sailor

My attempts to refine him all have ended in miserable failure

His salty talk that seemed so rude

Now sends me over the blasted moon

Oh, I’m in love with a ghost

One day long ago my ghost lover did leave

He said it was the for best and convinced me he’d been just a dream

But the ghost in my house is returning

Now that I’ve died our love is back again and burning

And when I’m through singing this song

We’re gonna haunt each other all night long
