A holiday classic taken from the Great American Songbook, sung here by Larry Krone with St. Louis’ FRAN. (Yes, we were drunk when we recorded this.)

This song is a tribute to my dear, lifelong friend Mamie.  So loved and so missed by everyone who knew her.

This was recorded on October 27, 2005 at The Fort studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York, USA as a preliminary rough demo for the CD which was part of the catalog for  “Larry Krone: Artist/Entertainer” at the Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis in 2006. Excuse the mistakes & talking before & after the songs (other voices are LD Beghtol & Jim Bentley).

Well, I’ve sounded better. Try to get past the Kermit-the-Frogesque vocals and enjoy the tune.. I wrote it.

This is a Hank Williams song I recorded with the amazing Larissa Rook in her living room sometime around 2002.  You will find this hard to believe, but I am a self-taught singer– not a shred of vocal training!!
