House of Larréon Handmade “Kamp Kraft” Hi-End GREEN Leather Wallet #3

I have been making these green leather wallets for Jim and me for years. The original point was to make us some functioning green wallets that would bring us some money, honey! Then the form element got a little out of hand as it usually does with House of Larréon hi-design!. Still, they are green, and they say that, as green is the color of growth, renewal, and prosperity, green WALLETS can help you attract some coinage. After using these wallets for the past 10 or 15 years, Jim & I can testify that they SOMETIMES work!

The labor on these wallets is pretty intense —precisely cutting all those pieces of high quality leather remnants salvaged from Coach samples, hand-punching all those little holes in their perfectly measured spots on the leather, carefully lacing the up-cycled plastic lanyard laces and finishing them by hiding all the ends—so I never made any to sell UNTIL NOW!!

Whenever Jim and I pull ours out we get such warm receptions. And we also get that reaction when people see our wallets! So, I started to think, “Why not make a few extra House of Larréon Handmade “Kamp Kraft” Hi-End Leather Wallets to see if it’s really what the public desires?”.  Here they are!

Vital stats:

• Made from top quality Coach* leather in a multitude of green hues (the crocodile and lizard finishes are high-quality faux treatments)
• Cut, pieced together, and laced by hand
• 3 pockets: one long pocket for bills and two interior card pockets
• The two card pockets are split and sewn onto green spandex to create a gusset that will accommodate overstuffing
• All materials, including thread are up-cycled and reclaimed. The only newly-made item on the wallet is the beautiful House of Larréon woven label
• Wallet measures 3 x 8” when laid flat and 3 x 4 x .5” when folded over.

*all but the dark turquoise/teal leather piece on the inside of the wallet are Coach. That piece is from a repurposed leather mini-skirt from the 1980’s
